1.Meet Yi Dao at The Ruined Temple

Begin this quest by returning to the ruined temple, the site of your previous battle with the Horse Dancer boss, to meet Yi Dao. Speak with him and inquire about his past and Chu Qingquan. During your conversation, you will notice shadowy figures arriving on boats, who appear to be heading into Blissful Retreat.

2.Attack on Blissful Retreat

After proving your resolve to Yi Dao, jump on his horse and ride into town to confront the invaders. You'll soon be separated. Upon getting back up, fight off the attackers and help Du Qiaoxian, who reveals the village is trapped in a maze that prevents escape. After fighting more attackers, head up the path with Du Qiaoxian and Yuan Jin'gang. Following this, inspect points of interest around the village for information. There are four points to find using the guidance lines around your reticle.

3.Saving The Villagers

Upon completing your reconnaissance from the vantage point, immediate action is required. Your primary objective is to rescue three villagers who are trapped beneath rubble in crumbling buildings. Be advised that each rescue operation will involve fighting through several groups of Aureate soldiers, so remain vigilant to avoid ambushes. Simply follow your quest markers to each location, eliminate all hostile forces, and free the trapped civilians.

Following the successful rescues, proceed to save Ruby and Braid. Head directly to their marked location and defeat the enemies that spawn. Once the area is secure, make your way to Sweetwine Tower, where you will find Yi Dao engaged in combat with more Aureate soldiers, including an Aureate Commander. Assist him in defeating these foes, then convene with Yi Dao, Ruby, and the other villagers to discuss your next steps. After ensuring all villagers are safely inside Sweetwine Tower, prepare to defend the location by repelling a few final waves of enemies.

4.The Final Stand

You rush for Ruby's flag but fall short, leaving you and Yi Dao surrounded by Aureate soldiers again. Several enemy waves must be dealt with, each led by an Aureate Commander. It is crucial to take out the archers first. Following that, concentrate your attacks on the foot soldiers, while you let Yi Dao handle the Commander directly.

5.Qianye The Witch

The time has come to confront Qianye, the witch who created the array enveloping Blissful Retreat. This challenging boss fight unfolds across multiple phases, starting with familiar patterns from the Heartseeker battle before rapidly evolving into a more dangerous second phase featuring sweeping scythe slashes and enhanced assaults. You'll have opportunities to use Meridian Touch during specific boss attacks to parry them and create openings, though missing these timing will bring severe damage and status impairments. At roughly half health, Qianye banishes you to a mirror dimension where you must face her alternate self.

This otherworldly Qianye utilizes modified versions of her attacks, most notably vanishing before executing a charging overhead slash. As you nearly empty the white Qianye's health bar, she triggers a devastating reality-shattering technique that reverts the battle to the red Qianye. After dealing some final damage, you're returned to the real world to find Yi Dao still engaged in combat. Witness the cinematic sequences of your heroic partnership with Yi Dao, culminating in your awakening several days later in the unexpected form of a horse.

6.Homeward Path

This is a perfectly normal development. As Ruby's horse, Clip-Clop, you simply need to follow the quest marker back to your character's location to trigger a short cutscene. Once this scene concludes, the quest will be officially completed.
