Tsuru Reef is the launch map for Season 4 and is described by EA as the biggest all-out warfare battleground in Battlefield 6 so far. The map is set across a fictional Japanese island chain featuring luxury resorts, tropical vegetation, rocky cliffs, residential areas, military bases, ports, and open ocean. It allows infantry, tanks, naval vessels, and aircraft to participate in the same battle.
The main combat locations include:
Majestic Ikoi Resort: Features hotels, swimming pools, and villas, supporting both indoor close-quarters combat and fighting across open areas. Some buildings can be destroyed.
Mifune Landing and Tsuru Gate: Located in the central part of the island chain, with land routes connecting them to other major areas.
Tsuru Air Base and Tsuru Port: Consist of a military base, shipping port, and aircraft runway.
Sunrise Harbor and Moon Shore: Include residential areas, warehouses, a U-shaped harbor, and waterways connecting different islands.
NATO and Pax Armata Headquarters: Both faction headquarters feature internal waterways suitable for naval vehicles.
EA has also confirmed that Tsuru Reef will be expanded later in Season 4, adding playable aircraft carriers and a dedicated combat space for Carrier Strike.
Naval vehicles return to Battlefield 6 Multiplayer in Season 4. They first appear on Tsuru Reef and will later be added to Wake Island. Naval Warfare is not designed as a separate minigame. Instead, it directly affects squad movement, objective assaults, coastal defense, and flanking routes.
The Dynamic Wave System introduces the following major changes:
Open seas generate constantly changing waves.
Waves can push naval vessels and affect the accuracy of onboard weapons.
Larger waves may temporarily block sightlines or incoming fire.
Boats create wakes across the water.
Buoyant equipment and underwater explosions can be used tactically.
The depth to which bullets penetrate the water depends on their caliber.
Players can drag and revive teammates in the water.
Players can spawn near squadmates swimming in deep water.
Update 1.4.1.0 also reworks swimming, resurfacing, underwater visibility, parachute deployment near water, and vehicle interactions with the water’s surface.
The RCB-90 is a two-seat armored patrol boat. Although it has lower speed and turning capability than a light transport boat, it offers greater durability and multiple onboard weapon systems.
Driver Weapons: 30mm autocannon or rotary heavy machine gun and missiles
Gunner Weapon: 120mm mortar
Mortar Ammunition: High Explosive, Airburst, Guided, Smoke, and Illumination rounds
Defense and Equipment: IR Smoke, torpedoes, or mines
Special Function: Opens its ramp near the coast or a dock and becomes a deployment point for the team
The 7.7m NSW RHIB originally appeared in REDSEC and is now entering regular Multiplayer. It is a four-seat light transport boat equipped with a machine gun and is suitable for transporting a full squad.
Advantages: High speed, strong mobility, and suitability for shallow waters and rapid landings
Uses: Coastal assaults, squad transportation, and flanking maneuvers
Disadvantages: Low durability and limited armor protection for passengers
Onboard Weapon: A machine gun capable of suppressing infantry and damaging light vehicles
The EF88 is a bullpup assault rifle with relatively consistent damage and manageable recoil. Because of its slower fire rate, it is better suited to medium- and long-range combat. EA lists its effective combat role at approximately 20 to 75 meters.
The BROD 3 offers a high rate of fire, good mobility, and extensive customization options, making it suitable for close- to medium-range combat. It can be carried in the Assault Class sling or used as the primary weapon of other soldiers.
The VSSM features an integrated suppressor and uses subsonic ammunition, making it suitable for covert operations. The weapon can be switched to fully automatic fire, although players must configure their attachments to access this capability.
Season 4 launch attachments:
4-inch Shotgun Barrel Extension: Increases projectile velocity but reduces aim-down-sight speed and some mobility.
1P86 LPVO Sight: Provides 1.5x and 4.5x magnification settings.
The three weapons will initially be available through the Season 4 Battle Pass, while the new attachments can be unlocked through Challenge Assignments.

The Season 4 Battle Pass is themed around combined land, sea, and air warfare. It includes weapon packages, soldier skins, hardware, XP boosts, and other rewards. After completing the prerequisite paths, players can unlock the final reward path.
Battlefield Pro provides:
Instant BF Pro unlocks
Battle Pass tier skips
An exclusive bonus path
A 5% XP boost
Other Season 4 progression rewards
REDSEC Ranked Battle Royale also begins a new season, offering rewards such as Playercard Backgrounds, Titles, Icons, Soldier Patches, and Vehicle Decals. Except for Rookie, players can also earn a Brodie Soldier Skin themed around their final rank. The player who finishes first among the Elite 250 can obtain the “S4 Eliminator” skin.
The Battlefield × Top Gun limited-time crossover launches on August 18, 2026. It is not part of the initial Season 4 content released on July 21.
The Top Gun event includes:
A reimagined Wake Island map
Carrier Strike Multiplayer mode
REDSEC Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep mode
CJTF Helix themed squad unit
Top Gun challenges and themed cosmetics
An exclusive limited-time event currency
F/A-81F Super Spectre two-seat jet
F-74A Seacat two-seat variable-sweep-wing jet
Interdictor sniper rifle
Carrier Strike requires land, naval, and aviation squads to work together, with the ultimate objective of seizing and destroying the enemy aircraft carrier. Fighter Sweep is a Gauntlet mode centered on aerial combat using the new two-seat jets. The Interdictor can be unlocked through the limited-time event. EA describes it as the longest-range sniper rifle in Battlefield 6. The company has currently confirmed only that the Top Gun crossover begins on August 18, without announcing an end date. Authoritative report found through Google also confirms the launch schedule for Naval Warfare, Wake Island, and the Top Gun phase.
The final phase of Season 4, “Tidal Strike,” launches on September 15, 2026.
Confirmed content includes:
Collection Event
Royal Navy Dive Knife reward
Multiple Battlefield Portal updates

New optic attachment options
The Phantom Program requires players to gather intel and reconstruct an access code, allowing them to use Fort Lyndon’s security system.
