Relationship progression is one of the largest systems expanded in Fields of Mistria 1.0. The maximum relationship level has increased to 10 hearts, giving romanceable characters new high-level events and allowing players to move beyond dating.After reaching 10 hearts with a character the player is dating, Elsie can deliver the recipe for an Engagement Ring the following morning. The ring must then be crafted at a Forge before it can be used to begin a proposal.NPC Studio has also made the final romance events more flexible. Players can use the Engagement Ring to trigger available 10-heart events before making a permanent marriage decision. This allows them to experience the relationship stories and obtain associated special items without immediately committing to a proposal.
A successful proposal begins the wedding-planning process. During conversations with the player’s fiancé in the days before the ceremony, several details can be customized.Players can choose the wedding’s flower color, cake flavor, and reception meal. These options personalize the event while keeping the central marriage progression straightforward.Version 1.0 also introduces relationship settings for players who dated more than one character. Under the default rules, other dating partners change to a “Best Friends” status after the player becomes engaged or married.However, players can use new settings to disable breakup letters or prevent the automatic relationship-status change. These options must be selected before the engagement is confirmed.
Fields of Mistria 1.0 adds children as a post-marriage feature, but becoming a parent is not required.Several in-game weeks after the wedding, a special cutscene can make the Mystical Feather available. This item begins a family-planning discussion between the player and their spouse.Players remain in full control of the decision. They can choose to have a child or continue married life without becoming parents. Declining the option does not block other marriage content or prevent the relationship from progressing.
The Town Repair storyline serves as one of Fields of Mistria’s central progression systems. In version 1.0, players can finally complete the full restoration arc and reach the planned conclusion of Mistria’s rebuilding story.The update adds new Town Rank and restoration objectives, including Saturday Market Plaza and Repair the Bell Tower. It also introduces the Mistril Town Rank Event and additional jobs on the Request Board.These additions continue the game’s focus on helping the town recover from the earthquake while giving experienced players more structured objectives beyond farming, exploration, and resource collection.
The maximum Town Renown level has increased to 100.Town Renown represents the player’s overall contribution to Mistria. It increases as players complete quests, help residents, restore facilities, ship goods, and participate in activities that support the town’s development.The expanded cap provides more long-term progression milestones for players who reached the previous limit during Early Access. New Town Rank quests also make the path toward the highest levels clearer.
Version 1.0 allows players to complete the Museum for the first time.
Two new collection categories have been added:
Honey Set
Terrarium Treasures Set
Both collections include associated rewards. Players can also enter the Museum’s individual wing rooms and view their collected exhibits more directly.The completed Museum provides a substantial long-term objective for players interested in collecting crops, fish, insects, artifacts, and other discoveries found throughout Mistria.
The Saturday Market expands with two new merchants: Stillwell and Zorel. Each introduces a different gameplay system.
Stillwell adds Mission Quests through a new Mission Board. Once the merchant has been unlocked, players can accept these missions during the Saturday Market.The Mission Board expands the number of structured activities available outside the main storyline and regular Request Board tasks.
Zorel sells Crystal Resonators and Song Crystals. These items allow players to customize the music heard on their farm and inside rooms in their house.The update includes 10 songs obtainable through Song Crystals. It also adds a new winter track and extended versions of four existing seasonal songs.This system gives players another way to personalize their farm environment beyond crops, buildings, furniture, animals, and character cosmetics.

Fields of Mistria 1.0 adds seven perks across Cooking, Ranching, and Woodcrafting.
The new perks are:
Espresso Yourself for Cooking
Playtime for Ranching
Eggstra for Ranching
Close Bond II for Ranching
True Trust for Ranching
Hammer Timing IV for Woodcrafting
Deliberate Debris II for Woodcrafting
These additions expand the existing skill trees and create more progression options for players who specialize in food preparation, animal care, or crafting.The update also introduces the Big Chicken mount and monster-inspired pet appearances. With the Friend-Shaped Combat Perk, defeated monsters can drop Pet Skins that allow a companion pet to resemble specific creatures.
Version 1.0 includes additional content connected to the Mines, including another Friday Night at the Inn story sequence.The main Mines Questline had already been completed in the fourth major Early Access update released in February 2026. That update introduced the final Mines biome, the Ruins Seal quest, new monsters, additional spells, and another special romance candidate.The 1.0 release builds on that completed storyline by adding more rewards and supporting content rather than replacing the existing Mines conclusion.
Farm and character customization receive another major expansion in the full release.Players who fully upgrade their house can now change its exterior design. After the required upgrade is completed, Landen sends a letter that unlocks the service at the Carpenter’s Shop.
New furniture collections include:
Monster
Ornate
Bonsai
Dragon
Additional wearable items include wedding outfits, the Barrel Hat, Beetle Mandible Horns, and Dragonfly Wings.The character customization screen has also been improved. Players can rotate their character model while previewing hairstyles, clothing, accessories, and other appearance options.
Steam achievements are officially available in Fields of Mistria 1.0.When an existing Early Access save is loaded, the game checks stored progress and may unlock eligible achievements retroactively. Longtime players therefore do not need to restart the game simply to receive achievements connected to completed stories, relationships, collections, or progression milestones.Players who prefer to unlock every achievement during a fresh playthrough can still create a new save.
The 1.0 update introduces Beta translations for seven languages:
Simplified Chinese
Traditional Chinese
French
Japanese
Korean
Russian
Spanish
NPC Studio estimates that each translation is approximately 75% complete at launch. All major gameplay features remain available, but some untranslated text-particularly later-game dialogue and content—may temporarily appear in English.The developer plans to continue improving the translations through future patches and player feedback. The Beta label therefore refers to translation completeness rather than missing gameplay features.
The official patch notes report a reduction of more than 50% in VRAM usage. The update also addresses startup problems that prevented the game from running on some older computers.New display options include brightness and saturation controls, giving players more ways to adjust the game’s presentation.These improvements follow Fields of Mistria’s move to an internally developed engine. NPC Studio stated that the transition was intended to improve performance and stability, reduce silent crashes, support a wider range of hardware, and make future development easier.
Other quality-of-life improvements include:
improved Mines treasure-chest drop rates;
more frequent Ritual Chamber appearances;
more frequent Treasure Room appearances;
clearer interface indicators;
better interaction priority when NPCs and nearby objects overlap.
Fields of Mistria 1.0 is officially confirmed for PC through Steam.
NPC Studio has not announced a PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo version. The developer has stated that its current focus is the PC release and that possible ports may be evaluated later.Until an official announcement is published, reports should not present a console version or console release date as confirmed.
Although version 1.0 completes the main game and its originally planned storylines, NPC Studio does not consider the full release to be the end of development.The studio has confirmed that additional content updates and patches are planned. Future support may include new content, balancing adjustments, localization improvements, technical updates, and bug fixes.Specific features should not be treated as confirmed until they appear in an official roadmap, development blog, or patch note.
