The information above is based on the official Mistfall Hunter Launch Announcement, Launch FAQ, DevNote #7 and Steam store listing.
The first official Mistfall Hunter season is called Soul Hunt. Its storyline centers on the Fate Chart and the consequences of forbidden experiments involving souls.According to the official seasonal description, the Valgr have resumed dangerous experiments that transform living creatures into unstable Cocoon Puppets. Their objective is connected to controlling souls, creating a False God and damaging the Web of Fate.Players will follow Dew’s guidance as they investigate these events, track escaped souls and attempt to limit the spread of corruption. Seasonal tasks and events will provide additional objectives throughout Season 1.The seasonal structure gives players more reasons to return after completing ordinary extraction runs. Instead of focusing only on loot collection, players can progress through a continuing narrative and complete objectives connected to the wider state of the world.
Soul Harvest is a themed activity connected to Season 1 Soul Hunt. However, Bellring Games has clarified that Soul Harvest content will be introduced progressively after launch. This distinction is important. Season 1 begins on July 30, but not every Soul Harvest feature will necessarily be available immediately when the servers open.During an active Soul Harvest ritual, players may encounter an elite enemy called the Soulgnawer. This creature attempts to interrupt the ritual and must be defeated before players can complete the activity. The encounter also retains Mistfall Hunter’s PvPvE risk. Rival Gyldhunters can attack while a team is fighting the Soulgnawer, forcing players to balance environmental threats, enemy players and extraction timing.
The Season 1 Battle Pass is called Slumbering Contract.According to the official Season 1 announcement, players can unlock the pass after completing seven cumulative login days. This means the first Battle Pass does not require a separate direct purchase.Players who maintain the required level of seasonal activity may also qualify to renew access and unlock the next season’s pass without paying for it. However, this system depends on meeting the official activity conditions. The Slumbering Servant outfit, previously shown during Steam Next Fest, is included among the Season 1 rewards. Players can obtain the outfit using tokens earned through normal gameplay.Although the Season 1 Battle Pass can be unlocked for free, Mistfall Hunter still includes optional cosmetic purchases. Fate Coins are used for buying cosmetic content and do not provide direct combat-stat advantages, according to the official Steam description.

The launch version replaces the earlier Hunt Ranking, Gylden Hunt and Demon Hunt leaderboards with a new ranked system called Path of Glory.Path of Glory becomes available after a character reaches Level 6. Players can choose whether to activate ranked progression before entering a match. Each member of a team makes this choice independently. Activating Path of Glory does not place the player into a completely separate matchmaking system, according to the official explanation.
Players can earn Rank Points by:
Successfully extracting
Defeating monsters
Completing assigned tasks
Collecting valuable assets
The actions that award points may change depending on the player’s current tier. Each match also has a maximum Rank Point limit.Rank Points are deducted only when a player fails to extract. This makes survival and extraction especially important for anyone trying to move through the ranked system.
Path of Glory includes seven major tiers:
Duskborn
Mistwalker
Dawnseeker
Fateweaver
Oracle
Exalted
Zenith
Players receive milestone rewards when advancing into new major tiers. Higher ranks can also unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards. After reaching Fateweaver I, Normal-difficulty matches no longer award Rank Points. Players must enter higher-difficulty content to continue progressing toward Oracle, Exalted and Zenith.Mistfall Hunter also includes a server-wide ranked leaderboard. Accounts are ordered by accumulated points, while Zenith-ranked players have their exact point totals displayed.
The Withered Knight receives a new weapon archetype at launch: Polearm & Shield. This combat style provides an alternative to the class’s Greatsword setup. The polearm focuses on long-reaching thrust attacks, while the shield can block incoming damage and prepare counterattacks. The shield accumulates power while absorbing attacks. Players can then use that stored power to strengthen a counterattack, creating a combat loop based on timing, defense and retaliation. The new weapon branch includes six skills and two main talent directions.
Quick Shield Bash is intended for more aggressive advances and faster shield charging. Enhanced Shield Bash emphasizes defensive utility and team protection.A charged heavy attack can create an area-of-effect knockback, helping the Withered Knight push enemies away from nearby teammates. The Polearm & Shield branch also includes an ability that can assist a downed teammate from a distance. Players may combine selected Greatsword and Polearm & Shield talents to create hybrid builds.
The launch version adds Holy Weapons with exclusive gameplay affixes. These affixes are designed to influence combat behavior rather than simply increasing basic equipment statistics.Bellring Games has not published a complete list of Holy Weapon names, drop rates or numerical affix values in the launch announcement. Any specific figures not shown in official material should therefore be treated cautiously.
A new difficulty called Brandrgarde: Cataclysm is also available in the launch version. It provides higher-level content for players who have progressed beyond the standard difficulty options.Cataclysm is particularly relevant to ranked players because higher Path of Glory tiers eventually require participation in more difficult activities. One planned feature that is not included at launch is Blackarrow’s new weapon. The developer confirmed that this weapon was moved to a future season because of development scheduling.
Bellring Games has introduced several technical improvements based on player feedback from Steam Next Fest and previous testing periods.
The official development update mentions:
Full-scenario performance optimization
Graphics presets for different hardware levels
Console and lower-end PC optimization
Improved 2K and 4K display support
Better frame rates in camp areas
More responsive inventory and map interfaces
Reduced combat micro-stuttering
Comprehensive class balance adjustments
The development team also reported fixes for several problems found during testing, including Quick Buy failures, reconnection issues, Spectator Mode exit problems, controller-related interface freezes and cases in which players could not collect dropped loot.Performance results may still vary depending on hardware, system configuration and selected graphics settings. The developer has stated that optimization work will continue after release.
The July 30 release is Mistfall Hunter’s full global launch rather than a small standalone patch. It introduces the game’s first season, a new storyline, a free Battle Pass, a redesigned ranked system, a new Withered Knight weapon archetype, Holy Weapons, Cataclysm difficulty and extensive performance improvements.
The most important details are that Season 1 Soul Hunt begins immediately, Soul Harvest content will be released progressively, and Blackarrow’s new weapon has been delayed until a future season. With its seasonal progression, extraction-based ranking and expanded character builds, the July 30 launch establishes the main structure Bellring Games will use for Mistfall Hunter's post-launch development, and players are already searching for Cheap Mistfall Hunter Gold to accelerate their progress
