Monster Hunter Now is celebrating Halloween with a two-part event featuring returning equipment, updated armor skills, increased hunting rewards, and special pumpkin-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku. Running from October 26 to November 8, 2026, the event gives hunters several connected goals: break more monster parts, strengthen seasonal weapons, collect exchange materials, and unlock Halloween cosmetics. Hunters planning to Buy Monster Hunter Now Account through Z2U can compare listed equipment and progression, paying particular attention to whether an account has unlocked the 8-star monsters required for Riftborne encounters.
The biggest change concerns the Jack-o'-Head armor and its updated Partbreaker (Halloween) skill. However, the event also includes weapon style customization, a new premium armor quest, different monster lineups each week, and additional opportunities for driftsmelting. Understanding the separate deadlines is particularly useful because hunting bonuses, equipment upgrade discounts, and reward exchanges do not all finish together.

The main event follows local time and is divided into two stages. The second stage introduces pumpkin-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku and an additional exchange currency.
| Event Feature | Start | End |
|---|---|---|
| Halloween Part I | October 26, 9:00 a.m. | November 2, 8:59 a.m. |
| Halloween Part II | November 2, 9:00 a.m. | November 8, 11:59 p.m. |
| Seasonal equipment performance boost | October 26, 9:00 a.m. | November 8, 11:59 p.m. |
| Reduced equipment upgrade requirements | October 26, 9:00 a.m. | November 15, 11:59 p.m. |
| Event Exchange Hub availability | Available during the event | November 15, 11:59 p.m. |
The additional upgrade and exchange week provides time to spend collected materials after the main hunting event ends. Exchange materials will be removed once their exchange period finishes, so hunters should check their remaining balances before November 15.
Limited Ultra Hunting Tickets obtained from the EX Exchange Hub have a separate deadline: November 22 at 11:59 p.m. local time.
The returning Jack-o'-Head receives a substantial skill adjustment for Halloween 2026. Its updated skill selection includes:
Partbreaker (Halloween)
Advanced Partbreaker
Pursuit
Partbreaker (Halloween) normally increases damage accumulated toward breaking eligible monster parts by 5%. During the Halloween event, that specific skill effect is multiplied by ten, making its stated contribution 50%.
This distinction matters when choosing equipment. The bonus affects accumulated part damage; it does not multiply overall weapon damage by ten. The event multiplier also applies specifically to Partbreaker (Halloween), rather than the ordinary Partbreaker skill.
The helmet no longer provides Solidarity (Halloween). Hunters must equip Jack-o'-Head as actual armor to activate its skills. Wearing its layered appearance alone does not provide those effects. A restart may be required for the changes to appear.
Ghost Balloon armor also returns, with forging and upgrade tickets available through the event's associated activities.
Skullwhistle and Squawkscythe return with access to style customization, giving hunters another reason to revisit seasonal equipment.
Several different materials support their progression:
Reissue Halloween Forging Tickets: Used to forge eligible returning equipment.
Halloween Weapon Upgrade Tickets: Used for weapon upgrades and certain style customization progression.
Halloween 2026 Style Customization Materials: Used to increase style customization levels.
Halloween 2026 Style Unlock Materials: Used to unlock style and parameter selections.
The two style material categories serve different purposes. Unlock materials cannot replace the materials required to increase customization levels.
Sources include eligible large monster hunts, Elder Dragon Interceptions, quests, exchanges, and the event pass. Certain style materials have a chance to appear from 8-star or higher large monsters and are guaranteed rewards from Elder Dragon Interceptions.
Upgrade requirements remain reduced until November 15. However, the announcement does not say that every upgrade becomes ticket-only. Monster materials may still be required at certain stages.
A new limited-time premium quest offers the Scarecrow Legs armor forging ticket. Its main rewards also include ten Friend Link Tokens and ten Tracker Scopes.
Scarecrow Legs provide Critical Ferocity Lv2 and have one driftsmelting slot, which unlocks at grade 8. Critical Ferocity reduces weapon affinity while introducing a small chance of increasing negative-affinity damage.
The announcement does not provide the skill's exact activation probability or complete damage calculations. Hunters considering the quest should therefore examine its current in-game description and their intended equipment setup before purchasing.
This armor comes from a premium quest, so it should be distinguished from equipment obtained through ordinary event participation.
Halloween 2026 uses a standard Exchange Hub and an EX Exchange Hub. Their currencies have different acquisition routes, making both worth checking.
| Exchange Hub | Main Currency Sources | Announced Reward Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Halloween 2026 | Large monster hunts, elder dragon hunts or repels, and selected quests | Harvest Cloak layered equipment, Halloween guild card background, armor upgrade tickets |
| Halloween 2026 EX | Pumpkin-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku and associated second-half quests | Black Diablos Riftshell, Aurora Somnacanth rarity 6 material, Limited Ultra Hunting Ticket |
Harvest Cloak is a chest-slot layered equipment reward. Its appearance does not turn it into a combat armor upgrade.
The EX Exchange Hub becomes relevant during Part II. Pumpkin-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku appear in relatively low numbers, and hunters can obtain EX materials by defeating them and breaking their parts. Kulu-Ya-Ku found through the Monster Tracker will also carry pumpkin-like rocks during the applicable period.
Exact exchange costs and reward limits should be checked inside the game.

The featured lineup changes on November 2, creating different opportunities to gather equipment materials.
| Part I Featured Monsters | Part II Featured Monsters |
|---|---|
| Aurora Somnacanth | Aurora Somnacanth |
| Black Diablos, including Riftborne | Black Diablos, including Riftborne |
| Somnacanth, including Riftborne | Azure Rathalos, including Riftborne |
| Legiana, including Riftborne | Glavenus, including Riftborne |
| Stygian Zinogre | Brachydios |
| Espinas | Viper Tobi-Kadachi |
| Brute Tigrex | Kulu-Ya-Ku |
| Bazelgeuse, including Riftborne | Deviljho, including Riftborne |
Velkhana is the featured elder dragon expected to become more active at Elder Dragon Interception points.
There are also restrictions involving volatile territories. Deviljho will not appear through volatile-territory intrusions during Part I, while Bazelgeuse will not appear through those intrusions during Part II. The frequency of volatile territories themselves does not increase.
Hunters targeting a particular weapon or armor piece should compare its required materials against both weekly lineups before deciding where to focus.
The event combines equipment progression with several reward and exploration bonuses:
Double rewards from breaking monster parts, including special parts.
A guaranteed second monster-material slot in group hunt rewards.
Increased numbers of dimensionally linked monsters.
More Riftborne monsters.
A 50% increase in access range.
Double materials from small monsters and gathering points.
Driftsmelting also receives a temporary adjustment. Driftstones obtained during the event require one kilometer of movement to process. This wording concerns stones acquired during the event, so hunters should not assume that older inventory receives the same reduction.
Featured large monsters and elder dragons guarantee Mysterious Driftstone V instead of regular driftstones. Possible skills include Critical Range Boost, Ice Attack, Charge Master, and Partbreaker. Individual skill probabilities are not listed in the announcement.
The first Halloween quest series includes objectives involving Black Diablos and Aurora Somnacanth. Despite its first-half designation, it remains available until November 8. Rewards include the event hunter medal and Event Tiers.
The second quest series begins on November 2 and focuses on pumpkin-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku, providing EX exchange materials.
Halloween 2026 Pass progression comes from completing the first quest series. Both free and paid premium plans are available. Announced rewards include Black Diablos Riftshell and Halloween weapon style materials, although the announcement does not provide a complete division of rewards between plans.
Hunters who have completed the prologue can access the basic event content. Riftborne monsters require 8-star monsters to have been unlocked in the field.
Hunt-a-thons and Elder Dragon Interceptions also operate around the clock during the event, with availability ending at 11:45 p.m. on the final day.
A practical approach is to connect each hunt with an equipment or exchange goal:
Check the updated Jack-o'-Head skills and decide whether they fit your build.
Identify seasonal weapons you actually want to strengthen.
Use the weekly monster lineup to target missing materials.
Revisit the EX Exchange Hub when Part II begins.
Spend exchange currency before November 15.
Use eligible limited hunting tickets before their separate expiration date.
Halloween 2026 offers several progression routes, but the deadlines deserve as much attention as the rewards. Planning around the November 2 lineup change and the additional exchange week will help hunters make consistent progress without leaving collected materials unused. Z2U also offers a place to browse cheap Monster Hunter Now Accounts for Sale and compare seller listings based on equipment, story progress, and budget. Check each offer carefully, as access to specific event content depends on the account's actual progression.
