LYN: The Lightbringer is a mobile stage-based hero collector RPG. Players progress through a linear story, with heroes automatically running and attacking while players are able to manually use skills, or enable Semi/Full Auto to automatically use some or all skills. Each hero has three different skills: two basic cooldowns, and a devastating ultimate move that charges up gradually in battle. In addition to the linear campaign, there are several PvP and raid modes, such as team deathmatch, guild battles and 3-player raids. Up to 5 heroes are in each team, and can be set to front, mid, and rear line, each with customizable attack, defense and HP buffs. Heroes are obtained via gacha summoning, similar to games like Epic Seven and Fate/Grand Order. Heroes can be upgraded in several ways: leveling up through combat, evolved to increase its star level by getting them to max level and spending crystals, and enhancing their stats and skills by combining another of the same hero and spending crystals, which players can earn from challenge modes and daily missions. Additionally, heroes of the same star rating can be combined to get a random hero of an additional star grade, and unwanted heroes can be dismantled to upgrade another hero's skills.
